Baseball Game Preview: Rosewood Eagles vs. West Columbus Vikings

The Rosewood Eagles will square off against the West Columbus Vikings on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Rosewood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Northwest Halifax 14-3. Considering the Eagles have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Graham Lassiter, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Jack Adams was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Rosewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

West Columbus came out on top against Vance Charter on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Vikings put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 10-2 victory. The Vikings not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th (when they won 15-3).

Rosewood pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for West Columbus, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
