Baseball Game Preview: Sandia Prep Sundevils vs. Rehoboth Christian Lynx

The Sandia Prep Sundevils will head out to face off against the Rehoboth Christian Lynx at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sandia Prep lost 20-1 to New Mexico Military Institute on Thursday. The Sundevils haven't had much luck with the Colts recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Rehoboth Christian came up short against Santa Fe Indian on Saturday, falling 14-2. The Lynx have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sandia Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Rehoboth Christian, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Sandia Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rehoboth Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Sandia Prep took their victory against Rehoboth Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sundevils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
