Preview: Pocomoke Warriors vs. Crisfield Crabbers
The Pocomoke Warriors's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Crisfield Crabbers at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Pocomoke has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 275 points over their last four games.
Even though Washington scored an imposing 55 points on Thursday, Pocomoke still came out on top. Pocomoke snuck past Washington with a 59-55 victory.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pocomoke to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zymiere Walker, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamir Roberts, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Crisfield suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 93-52 loss at the hands of Snow Hill. While losing is never fun, Crisfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Snow Hill is ranked 61st).
Pocomoke has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Crisfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Pocomoke took their victory against Crisfield in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 83-58. Will Pocomoke repeat their success, or does Crisfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
