Basketball Recap: Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Takes a Loss

After flying high against Loyola last Tuesday, Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial came back down to earth. The Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights were dealt an 87-45 loss at the hands of the Waseca Bluejays on Tuesday. The match marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Waseca, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial and Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Waseca will take on Worthington in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Waseca knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Worthington likes a good challenge.
