Ballantyne Ridge took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-9, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Palisades earned a 3-1 win over South Mecklenburg on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pumas.

Palisades was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-9, 23-25, 25-16.

Palisades now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
