D'Iberville lost to Poplarville back in March of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Warriors blew past the Hornets 9-2. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

D'Iberville pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Poplarville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9-1 record this season.
