Recap: North Point Eagles vs. Chopticon Braves
Even though the Chopticon Braves scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, the North Point Eagles still came out on top. North Point had just enough and edged Chopticon out 59-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Point.
North Point's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landhn Mathis, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Robert "rt" taylor, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braylon Harrison, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Pernell, who scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals.
North Point pushed their record up to 8-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Chopticon, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
North Point will head out on the road to challenge McDonough at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McDonough will be up against North Point's rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. As for Chopticon, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Northern at 6:30 p.m. Chopticon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 323 points over their last five matchups.
