Baseball Game Preview: Carthage Comets vs. Adirondack Wildcats

The Carthage Comets will head out on the road to take on the Adirondack Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carthage is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Carthage's offense. They lost 7-0 to Indian River on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Adirondack didn't have quite enough to beat Herkimer on Thursday and fell 4-2.

Adirondack saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Weiler, who went 2-for-5 with two doubles and one run.

Carthage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Adirondack, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Carthage skirted past Adirondack 10-9 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
