Portola's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Irvine Vaqueros 3-0. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Vaqueros recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Portola not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Irvine between 17 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-19.

Portola's win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Irvine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
