Basketball Game Preview: Oregon Hawks vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers

The Oregon Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Oregon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 70-64 to Mendota.

Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Princeton, falling 51-27. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 486th, while the Tigers are ranked 234th).

Oregon's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Erie-Prophetstown, their loss dropped their record down to 8-17.
