Preview: Hannah-Pamplico Raiders vs. Lake View Wild Gators

Hannah-Pamplico is 8-2 against Lake View since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Hannah-Pamplico Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Lake View Wild Gators at 8:15 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Hannah-Pamplico ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 59-58 photo finish over Green Sea Floyds. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

It was another big night for Tylin Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Shamar Eaddy, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lake View entered their tilt with Lamar with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Lake View snuck past Lamar with a 41-36 victory on Monday.

Lake View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Ray, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ray has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Umphries, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

Hannah-Pamplico now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lake View, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Wednesday's game is shaping up to be a scrappy game: Hannah-Pamplico have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.4 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Lake View, though, as they've been averaging only 10.7 rebounds per game. Given Hannah-Pamplico's sizable advantage in that area, Lake View will need to find a way to close that gap.

Hannah-Pamplico came up short against Lake View in their previous meeting back in January, falling 41-36. Can Hannah-Pamplico avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
