Basketball Recap: Making Waves Academy's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Making Waves Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ollie Obinyan. The Making Waves Academy Marlins walked away with a 65-55 victory over the Jewish Community Wolves on Wednesday thanks in part to Obinyan, who posted 30 points and three steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Damaury Olsen, who put up six points in addition to five boards and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last three games he's played.

Making Waves Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Jewish Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Making Waves Academy will welcome California Crosspoint at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Making Waves Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully California Crosspoint likes a good challenge. As for Jewish Community, they will venture away from home to square off against Bentley at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
