Basketball Recap: Northside Takes a Loss

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Harris County Tigers, falling 65-29. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Madalynn Cauley was nothing short of spectacular for Harris County: she went 8 of 11 on her way to 22 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Cauley has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Allana Coulter, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Harris County, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Northside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-42 loss against Russell County on the 28th. As for Harris County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-43 victory against Starr's Mill on the 28th.
