Baseball Recap: North Iberville Takes a Loss

North Iberville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 17-4 to the Tara Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 last Thursday.

Zion Pryer was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Damien Horton also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Even though they lost, North Iberville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

North Iberville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Tara, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

While North Iberville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
