Recap: Timberline Blazers vs. Curtis Vikings

The Timberline Blazers pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Curtis. While losing is never fun, Timberline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Curtis is ranked fourth).

Despite the loss, Timberline still got an impressive performance from Kenyon Simmons, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedric Ragland Jr, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

Timberline's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Curtis, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Timberline won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against O'Dea at 5:30 p.m. on December 16th. One thing working in O'Dea's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Curtis won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Eaglecrest at 7:00 p.m. on December 16th. Eaglecrest will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
