Recap: Escalante Moquis vs. Telos
The Escalante Moquis scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 77-39 victory over Telos. Escalante has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.
Kendal Gardner was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Jaxen Cottam was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Escalante's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Telos, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Escalante's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Panguitch at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Averaging 64.7 so far this season, Panguitch's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Escalante better be ready for a challenge. As for Telos, they will head out on the road to take on Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Vernon is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.1 points per game.
