Soccer Game Preview: Washington vs. Forest Park

The Washington Hatchets will square off against the Forest Park Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

Washington barely beat Mt. Vernon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hatchets blew past the Wildcats 7-2 on Saturday. Leah Owens was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Forest Park kept a clean sheet against South Spencer on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Rebels. Even though Forest Park got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Riley Hinson was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Washington is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 54 goals over those ten matchups. As for Forest Park, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
