Preview: South Shore Vikings vs. Randolph Campus Cougars
The South Shore Vikings will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Randolph Campus Cougars at 7:00 p.m. South Shore will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
South Shore owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They strolled past Eagle Academy III with points to spare, taking the game 16-0. That's two games straight that South Shore has won by exactly 16 points.
Meanwhile, Randolph Campus can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat KIPP NYC College Prep 41-0 at home. The victory was just what Randolph Campus needed coming off of a 35-14 defeat in their prior match.
Randolph Campus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Travis Gamble led the charge by picking up 165 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Haly, who threw for 175 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
South Shore's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-0-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.33 points. As for Randolph Campus, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
