Southern Lee is a perfect 5-0 against Ascend Leadership since November of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cavaliers will host the Aviators at 6:00 p.m. Ascend Leadership took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Southern Lee, who comes in off a win.

Southern Lee is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Jordan-Matthews: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cavaliers blew the Jets out of the water with a 55-8 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-6.

Meanwhile, Ascend Leadership was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Haw River Christian Academy. On the bright side, the 41- point performance marked the Aviators' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Southern Lee will have to keep a close watch on Kimari Cross and Claire Marshall, a pair of players who had a big impact on Ascend Leadership's prior game. Cross posted 12 points, while Marshall put up 11 points.

Southern Lee now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ascend Leadership, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
