Basketball Recap: New Covenant Academy Wins Going Away Against Fair Play

After losing to Fair Play the last time they met, New Covenant Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The New Covenant Academy Warriors took down the Fair Play Hornets 63-48 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

The victory got New Covenant Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Fair Play, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

New Covenant Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Early at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. New Covenant Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Early likes a good challenge. As for Fair Play, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hurley at 5:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
