Volleyball Recap: Alhambra's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Alhambra can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bradshaw Mountain Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Victor Yanez Vazquez paced Alhambra's offense, picking up five kills. Yanez Vazquez got some help from AlexAnder Lopez and his ten assists. Noe Perez controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Alhambra's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alhambra will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Metro Tech at 5:30 p.m. on March 18th. The match will give Metro Tech their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they will be playing at home against Peoria at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bradshaw Mountain is facing Peoria at the right time seeing as Peoria is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
