Northside came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Westinghouse Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Will Moran tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Northside is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyler Weigand, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was John Piper, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Northside's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Westinghouse, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Northside will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
