Baseball Game Preview: Olathe South Falcons vs. Spring Hill Broncos

The Olathe South Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Spring Hill Broncos on Monday. Neither Olathe South nor Spring Hill posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Olathe South took on Liberty on Saturday. The Falcons came up short against the Blue Jays, falling 6-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Olathe South saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dax Grissom, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Beau Beverman was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Spring Hill narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bishop Miege 2-1.

Spring Hill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Olathe South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.
