Softball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Chester County

Chester County won the last time they faced University School of Jackson and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 7-3.

Chester County got a great performance from Chloe Teague as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, Chester County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Newland, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another was Ryan Whitman, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Chester County pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for University School of Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1.

Looking ahead, Chester County will challenge McNairy Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University School of Jackson, they will head out on the road to take on Jackson South Side at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
