Woodland Christian came tearing into Thursday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the San Juan Spartans get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-0 last Tuesday.

Maggie Wurzel made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Morgan Sanders was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ariana Perez, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Woodland Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .842. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Woodland Christian's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.6 runs over those games. As for San Juan, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Woodland Christian and San Juan will both be playing Golden Sierra the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Grizzlies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Spartans will host them at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
