Basketball Recap: Sparrows Point Comes Up Short

Sparrows Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Towson Generals, falling 88-40. The Pointers were not able to make up for their loss to the Generals from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Patrick Lovas had a dynamite game for Towson, going 11 of 16 to rack up 31 points. The dominant performance gave Lovas a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Harris, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Sparrows Point's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Towson, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.

Coming up, Sparrows Point will square off against Lansdowne on Wednesday. As for Towson, they will venture away from home to challenge Carver A&T at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Towson is facing Carver A&T at the right time seeing as Carver A&T is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
