Fairfax and Westchester are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Fairfax Lions will head out to challenge the Westchester Comets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, Fairfax was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-43 to Palisades.

Meanwhile, Westchester had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.9 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 94-46. The Comets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Westchester's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.4 points. As for Fairfax, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Fairfax came up short against Westchester in their previous matchup last Wednesday, falling 75-67. Can Fairfax avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
