Volleyball Recap: Sitka Comes Up Short

Sitka extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 18-20-9. They came up short against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the sixth time they've come up short against the Crimson Bears this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss on October 3rd.

As for Juneau-Douglas, their victory bumped their record up to 22-18-7. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13th (when they won 3-0).

Cambry Lockhart went supernova, getting 15 digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last two contests. Ruby Koski also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

While Sitka had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
