Basketball Recap: Chapman Skates Past Greenville H with Ease

While Chapman didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Greenville H Hurricanes 101-70. That 31 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Chapman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grayden Humphries led the charge by shooting 60% from the field to rack up 24 points. Thanks to that strong game, Humphries now owns an excellent 40.9% three-point shooting accuracy. Jerry Jones was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took for 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Chapman was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Chapman pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points over those games. As for Greenville H, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Chapman is taking a road trip to take on Chesnee at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenville H, they and Broome will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
