Baseball Recap: Laurel Highlands Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Laurel Highlands's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Ringgold Rams on Monday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Jack Johns was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

This is the second loss in a row for Laurel Highlands and nudges their season record down to 3-12. As for Ringgold, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

While Laurel Highlands had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
