Volleyball Recap: Wayne Trace Takes a Loss

Wayne Trace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Crestview Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-13.

Lexi Moore paced Wayne Trace's offense, picking up five kills. Moore got some help from Olivia Zartman and her seven assists. Zartman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Wayne Trace's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Crestview, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

Wayne Trace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Liberty-Benton on the 6th. As for Crestview, they will head out to face off against Parkway at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
