Baseball Recap: Linn Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Linn nor Russellville made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Wildcats came out on top against the Indians by a score of 6-3. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Jaxon Kubiak was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Winkelman, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Linn's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-16. As for Russellville, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Linn will host Vienna at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Russellville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Harrisburg at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
