Football Recap: Desert Scorpions vs. California City Ravens
Desert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the California City Ravens 49-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scorpions of the 69-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead California City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Moore, who threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also caught a touchdown. Andy Velasquez did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 82 receiving yards.
Desert's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for California City, they moved to 3-7 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
