Soccer Game Preview: Hampton Roads Academy vs. Norfolk Academy

Hampton Roads Academy hasn't had much luck against Norfolk Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Navigators will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Hampton Roads Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Steward with a sharp 4-1 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Hampton Roads Academy hit Steward with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Zachary Busch (2), Ethan Busch, and Luke Sablan.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Academy faced Walsingham Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Bulldogs never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Considering Norfolk Academy's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Hampton Roads Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matchups. As for Norfolk Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2-2.
