Football Recap: Memphis Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Memphis kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Lenawee Christian Cougars 66-24. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-0.

Despite the loss, Memphis saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryver Short rushed for 207 yards and three scores while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.

Memphis has already played their next game, a 68-0 defeat against Brown City on the 5th. As for Lenawee Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-0 victory against Bellevue on the 5th.
