DePaul College Prep dropped their record down to 11-19 on Saturday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loyola Academy Ramblers. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Ramblers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Loyola Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-15. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

For Loyola Academy's part, Mary McQuillen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hunter Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Coming up, DePaul College Prep will challenge Jones at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season. As for Loyola Academy, they will square off against Saint Viator at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
