Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vancleave). They were the clear victor by a 6-2 margin over the Laurel Golden Tornadoes on Friday. The score was close at the half, but the Bulldogs pulled away in the second half with three goals.

The victory was the third in a row for Vancleave, bringing their record for this year to 7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for Laurel, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vancleave will take on East Central in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Central will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Vancleave surely won't give up without a fight. Laurel and North Forrest will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
