California lost against Dougherty Valley two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The match between the California Grizzlies and the Dougherty Valley Wildcats didn't end well, with the California Grizzlies falling 70-54.

California's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ketan Kumar, who posted 16 points, and Brayde Kuykendall, who earned 16 points. The dominant performance gave Kumar a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Logan Weger, who put up nine points.

California suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 23-5. As for Dougherty Valley, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
