Preview: Sequoia Charter Stallions vs. BASIS - Peoria
The Sequoia Charter Stallions will play host again and welcome BASIS - Peoria, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Sequoia Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday.
Last Monday, Sequoia Charter came up short against Varsity Opponent and fell 52-42.
Despite the defeat, Sequoia Charter saw an underclassman step up: Asher Roehl dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Roehl scored a full 31% of Sequoia Charter's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, BASIS - Peoria had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 46-35 win over Phoenix College Prep.
Sequoia Charter now has a losing record at 1-2. As for BASIS - Peoria, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
