Volleyball Game Preview: Santa Teresa Saints vs. Westmont Warriors

The Santa Teresa Saints will venture away from home to take on the Westmont Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Santa Teresa is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since May 3, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Christopher, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Saints haven't been shut out since back in March.

While Santa Teresa was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Westmont's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to Pioneer.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 17-25, 25-18.

Westmont's defeat dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Santa Teresa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7.

Everything went Santa Teresa's way against Westmont in their previous matchup back in April, as Santa Teresa made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
