Football Recap: New Paltz Comes Up Short on the Road Against Dover

New Paltz kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Dover Dragons, falling 43-15. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Leading Dover to victory were Matt Ogana and Conor Drnek. Ogana rushed for 210 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, while Drnek rushed for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Those 210 rushing yards gave Ogana a new career-high.

New Paltz wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-0 defeat against Beacon on the 11th. As for Dover, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-6 win against Highland on the 12th.
