Basketball Recap: Herlong Takes a Loss

Herlong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 45-30 fall against the Providence Lions. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 51-34 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Herlong's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Providence, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 3-9 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Herlong will face off against Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence, they will challenge Plumas Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Plumas Charter's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Providence has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
