Basketball Recap: Capitan Gets the Win

Cloudcroft came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Capitan, but Dj Robinson wouldn't allow it. The Tigers enjoyed a cozy 61-47 victory over the Bears on Tuesday thanks in part to Robinson, who went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Capitan's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Ross, who posted four points and six boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Capitan's record now sits at 7-13. As for Cloudcroft, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Coming up, Capitan will be playing in front of their home fans against Lordsburg at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cloudcroft, they will challenge Mescalero Apache at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears will be up against the Chiefs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
