On Thursday, Fort Frye faced Marietta in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Fort Frye Cadets took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marietta Tigers. The Cadets' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Fort Frye's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2. As for Marietta, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Fort Frye will square off against Linsly at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marietta, they will face off against Wheelersburg at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
