Basketball Recap: Cary Christian Skates Past Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Cary Christian over Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cary Christian Knights blew the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion out of the water with a 68-25 final score. With the Knights ahead 32-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Cary Christian was led to victory by Andrew Neal and Cennoth Kalisiak. Neal dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Kalisiak went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Kalisiak is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Harvey, who posted nine points.

Cary Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill only racked up seven assists.

Despite the defeat, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill saw an underclassman step up: freshman Luke Kinder put up eight points and six rebounds.
