The power rankings have been shaken up after a frantic week teeming with triumph and disappointment. That and more in this week's report.

Given its edge in the MaxPreps state rankings, a win looked likely for Notre Dame in its matchup against Catholic - N.I.. The team got that and then some. Notre Dame put the hurt on Catholic - N.I. with a conclusive 49 - 0 victory. Senior Noah Bourgeois was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he earned three touchdowns and 123 yards rushing the ball). Thanks to its success, Notre Dame cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 15th spot.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Catholic-B.R. and St. Thomas More, 3rd and 8th in the power rankings, respectively. Catholic-B.R. was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Thomas More, winning 52 - 43. Even if it didn't bump Catholic-B.R. up the rankings, the triumph at least kept the team from dropping.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between John Curtis Christian (4th in the power rankings) and Easton (5th). The last time they met, John Curtis Christian got away with a 27 - 21 win over Jesuit. Will John Curtis Christian come out on top again? We'll soon find out.
