Softball Recap: St. James Saints vs. St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings
St. James gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings by a score of 5-1. For St. James, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 loss St. John's Catholic Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2017.
Tenley Mullendore and Carli Mazaleski did most of the damage at the plate: Mullendore scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances, while Mazaleski went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run.
St. James didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory vs. Mercersburg Academy on the 27th. As for St. John's Catholic Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Notre Dame Prep at 4:00 p.m. on April 11th.
