Basketball Recap: Clifton-Clyde Takes Down Bishop Seabury Academy in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Clifton-Clyde rose to the challenge on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bishop Seabury Academy Seahawks 72-9. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-5.

Sevy Wurtz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, to rack up 24 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 24 points. Mylee Hammond was another key player, on her way to 15 points and four steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Clifton-Clyde was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Clifton-Clyde's record now sits at 16-5. As for Bishop Seabury Academy, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

As of now, neither Clifton-Clyde nor Bishop Seabury Academy have any future games scheduled.
