Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Live Oak Classical's 11th in Last 12 Outings

It's playoff time, and Live Oak Classical had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Covenant Christian Cougars 6-4.

Live Oak Classical has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Covenant Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's still a better percentage than their 4-14 record this season.

Live Oak Classical will square off against Alpha Omega Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 3.1, the Lions 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Covenant Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
