Football Game Preview: Poyen Indians vs. Carlisle Bison

The Poyen Indians will head out to take on the Carlisle Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poyen has given up an average of 40.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

While Poyen's victory against Hazen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Hornets 54-53. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Carlisle came up short against Hampton on Friday and fell 36-28. The loss was the Bison's first of the season.

The win got Poyen back to even at 3-3. As for Carlisle, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.

Poyen was taken down by Carlisle 62-20 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Indians were down 34-6.
